The Cry is a part of the mission of The 714 Initiative to Call on all believers to fast, mourn, repent, and pray for our cities, the country, and the lost. Join the effort both locally and nationally wherever you are.

About the event
In response to the alarming and growing darkness within our communities, Christian leaders around San Diego in partnership with Contagious Disciple Making are calling our Christian communities to gather to fast and cry out to God for a Great Turning to Him and His ways. Â
Our call is simple: For one day, fast, and come ready to mourn and pray for ourselves, our communities, cities, and nation.Â
We must CRY:Â
- For MERCY for our sins and the sins of our peopleÂ
- For the SALVATION of the lost within our communitiesÂ
- For DELIVERANCE from the destruction of our sinsÂ
- For A GREAT TURNING to obedience to God & His ways Â
We must change our lives to reach the lost around us and address the brokenness and evil plaguing our communities. At this event, we will be sharing how you, your friends, and your church can join the daily and weekly efforts to act as salt and light within San Diego. Â
The Cry Special Focus: The Freedom Initative Local ministers and volunteers will be partnering with Contagious Disciple Making to form a local chapter of The Freedom Initiative to reach and serve prisoners from within the prison system and as they are released back within the outside community. Join us to intercede for our prisoners and their communities and discover how you can support the Freedom Initative through prayer, volunteering, networking, and financial support. Â
What is the Freedom Initiative’s goal? Create a comprehensive and holistic treatment of prisoners, starting within prison and continuing as they are released, putting them on the path of making a significant, positive impact in life and their communities. We will design our redemptive process to empower prisoners to make disciples who make disciples, prayerfully resulting in a Disciple Making Movement and a local expression of the Kingdom of God.
